Like audiobooks?

If you liked any of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies, you'll enjoy this audiobook. It's the first in a series of books by L. A. Meyer about the adventures of Mary "Jack" Faber, a 13 year old orphan girl who disguises herself as a boy to escape street life. The narrator has a great British accent which takes a little while to get used to. Once you do, you'll be talking that way too (or at least want to.) If audiobooks aren't your thing, read the books. The library now has the sixth and latest in the series, My Bonny Light Horseman: being an account of the further adventures of Jacky Faber, in love and war.

New Teen Books

These are some new books in the New Teen Fiction section which sound like they would make great reading for Halloween: Evernight by Claudia Gray, Generation Dead by Daniel Waters, The Graveyard by Neil Gaiman, and The Summoning by Kelley Armstrong. Has anyone read any one of these yet? If so, tell us what you thought of it. Was it a good, scary Halloween read?

"Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist"

I know everyone is anxious for the release of the movie "Twilight," but has anyone gone to see this new movie? Like "Twilight," it is based on a book "Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist" which was written by Rachel Cohn And David Levithan. The book was very interesting because the authors wrote alternating chapters--Rachel writing as Norah and David as Nick. I was wondering if the movie was as good as the book. If you read the book or saw the movie or both, let us know what you think.
