If you liked any of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies, you'll enjoy this audiobook. It's the first in a series of books by L. A. Meyer about the adventures of Mary "Jack" Faber, a 13 year old orphan girl who disguises herself as a boy to escape street life. The narrator has a great British accent which takes a little while to get used to. Once you do, you'll be talking that way too (or at least want to.) If audiobooks aren't your thing, read the books. The library now has the sixth and latest in the series, My Bonny Light Horseman: being an account of the further adventures of Jacky Faber, in love and war.
A place for teens in grades 7 - 12 to talk about books, movies and music. Please contact the Reference Desk if you need information on how to post to this blog.

i have read the first 5 of these books, and would recommend stopping after the fourth one. I felt that the 5th book was just stretching the story out and disliked it immensely
